Senior Pastor Jason Reaves
On December 15th, 1983 in Garden City, Michigan, I was born into not only a Pastor’s home, but a loving Christian family. While raised in church my whole life, I accepted Jesus as my Savior on Easter of 1997. I was 13 at that time, and in 2002, I surrendered to full-time service while attending United Baptist Church. I served as a Student Pastor at United Baptist Church for 4 years. I then moved to Springfield, Missouri to finish my schooling at Baptist Bible College. While in Springfield, I served for 3 years as a Student Pastor at Dale Street Baptist Church, and completed my Bachelor's degree in Ministry. During this time, God called me to be the Senior Pastor at United Baptist Church.
I have been married for 7 years to my beautiful wife, Holly, whom I met while attending Baptist Bible College. We have one son together, Braden (5) who's the life of our home. My family loves ministering to people and serving God.
I enjoy playing golf, basketball, or any other sport. I love watching sports--I am a hometown fan and love all my Detroit teams. I enjoy spending time with my wife and son; I am also an avid movie watcher.
We are very excited to serve in the capacity that God allows us. We are humbled that God would choose us to serve Him and are very excited to see how God will work through our church and in our surrounding communities.
Youth Pastor Jason Janes
I was born and raised in the small town of Warrenton, Missouri and studied youth ministry at both Missouri Baptist University as well as Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. For 4 years I was able to intern in the youth department of Grace Bible Church in Warrenton, and serve on the praise team as well as in the basketball ministry. I am in love with the Lord and my wife Sarah; we both have been blessed to serve in ministry for several years and continue to enjoy it. At any given moment you're bound to find me listening to bluegrass music, playing (or watching) basketball, or taking someone out to lunch. I am passionate about using the gifts you've been given for the Lord, and desire for others to realize their potential in life.
Sarah and I are new to the area and love learning more about Michigan! We have been greatly welcomed by United Baptist Church and trust that you would experience the same warmth and friendliness we have received!
